I posted this on tumblr but i'd also like to share it here
They wasted so much potential with Dakota. They portray her as just spoiled rich girl but she seems so hurt and neglected. Her father was probably rich and she had a slew of nannies, sitters and step moms and I imagine her feeling worthless and tossed aside. Then Sam comes along and makes her feel like the world and they really shoulda done more vibrant things with that than just turning her into a mutant and throwing her away like so many great characters.
